Special Units

Puawaitahi (Child Protection Team)
A multi-agency, one-service centre for investigating alleged abuse of children and young people and to ensure that victims of abuse and their families - can easily access the best possible services to help with treatment after abuse.

Air Support
Operates several helicopters throughout the metropolitan Auckland area on special operations and general patrol.

Child Exploitation Team
Targets on-line sexual offending and intimidation against children, including cyber-stalking, and commercial exploitation of children and young persons through prostitution.

Adult Sexual Assault Team
Investigates adult sexual assault complaints and provides access to quality aftercare support services.
