How do I pay an infringement fee from overseas?
You can pay an infringement fee:
- Online with a credit card. There is a 3% convenience fee. Any currency conversion will be done according to the terms and conditions of the card - your card issuer may charge additional fees.
- Bank Cheque - Contact any bank to arrange a bank cheque. Make the bank cheque payable in $NZ for the amount of the infringement fee.
- Personal Cheque - Convert the amount of the infringement fee using the current exchange rate [link to currency converter]. Write the equivalent amount of the infringement fee in your local currency (not in $NZ).
- Money order.
Send cheque or money with remittance advice and ticket order to New Zealand Police, PO Box 6641, Wellington 6141, New Zealand.
If the fee is not paid by the due date, the infringement will be referred to the New Zealand Courts for fines enforcement. Arrangements may be made with New Zealand Courts for subsequent payment, which may include online payment using credit card details. Additional fees will be imposed by New Zealand Courts.
