What can I do about somebody who is threatening/harrassing/intimidating me or a member of my family?
Depending on the circumstances, acting in a threatening manner or using threatening or offensive language, harassing or intimidating someone, are all offences that can be punishable by either imprisonment or a fine. The person can be arrested by police. If it is happening to you and you are frightened you should call the police immediately on 111 and move to somewhere you feel safe such as where there are other people.
If you have been threatened, harassed or intimidated, you should phone or visit your local police station to discuss appropriate action.
