I live overseas and someone in New Zealand has been sending me offensive emails/threatening/harrassing me. What should I do?
If the harassment is physically threatening or contains racial, sexual or religious overtones, it may constitute an offence and should be reported to police in your country as soon as possible. If appropriate, they will work with New Zealand Police to try and resolve the situation.
If the person is harassing you via phone or internet, you should also contact your telephone company or the internet site on which you are being harassed and they can deal with the person according to their policies.
