Protecting our children from exploitation online

Police is committed to fighting the online exploitation of children.

It recently joined the Virtual Global Taskforce, a group of law enforcement agencies from around the world which targets online sexual child exploitation.

Being a member strengthens Police's ability to share information with other agencies globally and catch offenders.

This work is led by Police's Online Child Abuse Exploitation Squad (OCEANZ), a specialist team which works proactively to save children from online abuse in New Zealand.
