Women in policing – on video
A series of videos is giving museum visitors and online viewers an insight into the lives and careers of some of the remarkable women of New Zealand Police.
The videos were commissioned as part of the New Zealand Police Museum’s new exhibition celebrating the 75th anniversary of women in policing.
They were made by Michelle Carlile-Alkhouri, multimedia specialist in Police’s Public Affairs team, with support from the wider Public Affairs Group.
“It has been an absolute privilege to work with these incredible women,” says Michelle. “We’re very lucky in this country to have people like this working so hard, in so many ways, on behalf of our communities.”
The videos will be proactively featured in social media posts every Sunday, starting this weekend.
Meanwhile, the first six of the ten videos can now be seen at the museum – or by clicking here.
