Operation Somme: excellent public response requires extra staff

1 min read

There has been an excellent response to the publicity and there is a steady information flow into the Operation Somme base, which is investigating Tania McKENZIE’s murder on Friday, 7 January 2005.

To ensure the Police are able to deal with this information, extra staff have been drafted into the enquiry. This includes members of the Specialist Search Group, Tactical Analysts and Typists who are vital to ensure all the information is able to be processed and prioritised. This brings to a total of fifty-one members.

Police are still appealing for sightings of Tania in these areas of interest (refer map and photograph).

Anybody with any information, please contact the Operation Somme base 0800 44 55 68.

I believe that the person or person/s responsible for Tania’s murder will be undergoing extraordinary stress and will be displaying this.
