1 min read

Porirua Police are keen to identify a young pink booted Caucasian woman possibly involved in passing counterfeit $100 notes.

Yesterday police advised two fake $100 notes were used at Pak N Save supermarket in Porirua on Sunday, 7 August, and a further transaction made on the same day at Woolworths in Coastlands, Paraparaumu.

Sergeant Brent Clark, Porirua Police, has now received reports of similar notes surfacing at Pak N Save Kilbirnie and Farmers department store in Palmerston North. These transactions also took place on Sunday.

"We're also aware of a series of transactions recently made in Christchurch," he says.

Police want to find a young woman who featured on security camera footage at Pak N Save Porirua on Sunday. She's described as Caucasian, in her 20s, with fair hair and wearing a dark top, blue jeans, pink knee high boots and carrying a pink shoulder bag.

People who can help identify the woman are asked to contact Sergeant Clark at Porirua Police, telephone 04 237 2111.
