1 min read

After extensive enquiries and searches throughout the night a missing 18-year-old woman has been found safe and well.

Eighteen-year-old student Kirati Singkhampong was discovered missing about 7pm last night by relatives who had serious concerns for her state of mind.

Numerous searches have been carried out around the city including the river. Alongside the searches police officers and staff at Awatapu College, where Kirati is a student, have been making enquiries about her possible whereabouts. Those enquiries resulted in Kirati being located at the home of a friend in the city.

Police are still to speak to Kirati but have been advised that she is safe and well.

Police would like to thank search volunteers, college staff, friends, family and members of the public for all of their assistance in finding Kirati.
