Search winding down

1 min read

Searchers are winding down the search for a missing 19 year old skier near Arthurs Pass says Senior Constable Phil Simmonds.

"The risks for rescue or recovery far outweigh the possibility that the young man may still be alive," he says.

The situation has been assessed today and is deemed too dangerous. The warm northerly winds have made the snow very unstable. The Mt Cook rescue team has returned to Mt Cook.
