At about 8 pm last night, 28th of March, a 22 year old woman was cycling through North Hagley Park on the sealed cycleway heading towards Harper Avenue, Christchurch.
She was approached from behind by a male on a bike. This male stayed behind her and touched her on her buttock area.
She has then yelled at him and he has ridden off across the grass.
Police are looking for a male Caucasian in his late 30's. He was clean shaven of unkempt appearance, wearing an army coloured jacket, with dark coloured pants and no helmet. At the time of the assault the hood of his navy blue hoodie was up. He was riding a mountain bike (no other details of the bike).
