Superintendent Grant Nicholls - Eastern District Commander and staff recently welcomed six experienced Police Officers from the United Kingdom to the Eastern District.
"These staff have experience from the United Kingdom which will enhance the contribution they make to their new communities" said Superintendent Nicholls.
Four of the six will be posted to Wairoa and two to Gisborne.
The new ‘bobbies’ will undertake an 11 week conversion course at the Royal New Zealand Police College commencing on 10 April 2006.
