Orange and blue for police vehicles

1 min read

From next week all new general police patrol vehicles will be decked out in a distinctive orange and blue livery.

As part of last year’s work on a new police vehicle livery, the battenburg design was developed in two colour variations - yellow and blue, and orange and blue.

The orange and blue variant will be used for general duties vehicles, while all dedicated traffic vehicles will be yellow and blue.

The Highway Patrol vehicles will continue to be distinguishable by the words "Highway Patrol" on the rear mudguard panels. General duties vehicles will have "Safer Communities Together".

"We've gone for one design with two colour combinations," says Public Affairs General Manager Michael Player.

The orange and blue vehicles will be rolled out almost immediately, in addition to continuing the roll out of traffic vehicles.
