Orewa Police are investigating the death of a middle aged woman after her body was found at an address in Silverdale this afternoon.
Police and an ambulance went to a house in Anvil Road in the industrial sector of Silverdale, at about 1.00pm, Friday 14 April 2006.
A man is in North Shore Hospital with serious injuries.
Police say they believe the incident is domestic related.
No other person is being sought by police in relation to this incident.
Detectives are carrying out a forensic examination at the address and officers will remain at the scene overnight.
A post mortem examination on the body of the deceased woman will be carried out tomorrow.
