1 min read

North Shore Police say all sectors of the public can play a vital role in helping them locate the whereabouts of a 23 year old Korean national who has been reported missing from the family home in Glenfield.

Young Wook MA, aka Jack MA, a University student, was reported missing by his parents on Wednesday 14 June 2006. The last sighting of Jack MA, was at their family address, last Monday morning, 12 June 2006.

Police have continued their enquiries over the weekend and it appears that the missing man may have taken two sets of clothing with him. He did take his cell phone.

Polling of the cell phone has established that it was in the Glenfield area on the days of 12 and 13 June 2006. The cell phone is no longer active.

Police are treating the disappearance seriously, while also keeping an open mind on any unexplained reasons for why the young man may have gone missing at this time.

Police say his disappearance is considered out of character. He is without money, or credit cards. His friends have told Police they are concerned about his whereabouts.

Area enquiries by Police will continue today, in the hope of finding this young man.

There is a large, closely knit Korean community here on the North Shore and they are also hoping that this young University student will soon be found safe and well.

If anyone has any sightings of this missing man, or any information on his whereabouts, please contact Browns Bay Police on [09] 353 0410.
