Tauranga Police investigate Parkvale disturbance

At about 11pm last night, Sunday 22 August 2010, Tauranga Police were called to a disturbance in Parkvale, Tauranga.

A 28 year old male was found at an address with a bullet wound to one of his legs. He is currently in hospital. His injury is not thought to be life threatening

The firearm involved has been recovered.

A 23 year old male has been arrested in relation to the incident.

He will be appearing in Court this morning on charges of Wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and unlawful possession of a firearm

Tauranga Police are continuing to investigate the matter today.
