City assault arrests

Police investigating the serious assault of a man outside the Pyramid bar on Wyndham St in the early hours of May 5, have arrested four men who will appear in the Auckland District Court tomorrow on several charges.

An 18 year-old unemployed Mt Roskill man and a 22 year-old airport worker from Pakuranga will each be charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

A 19 year-old unemployed man from Pakuranga and a 23 year-old airport worker from Mangere Bridge are each charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and assault with intent to injure.

The four are in Police custody and will appear at Auckland District Court tommorow, Saturday, May 21, 2011.

The victim of the assault has been advised of today's arrests and, while he has been discharged from hospital, he is still suffering from the injuries he received.
