Balclutha Police have recovered the body of missing Balclutha woman, Shelley Carson (36), from the Clutha River.
Miss Carson was located by members of the NZ Police National Dive Squad in a section of the river near the Balclutha Bridge on the north bank at around 12.30pm today, and her body was removed shortly afterwards.
"Miss Carson's family and Police would like to thank all those who assisted in the search for Shelley and those people who provided information about her movements," said Senior Sergeant Whitmore of Balclutha Police.
The circumstances relating to Miss Carson's death are now a matter for the coroner, Snr Sgt Whitmore said.
