Christchurch Police are seeking two men in relation to the alleged aggravated robbery of two women at a Linwood motel on Thursday morning.

Police say the two women were enticed to a unit at a Worcester Street address at approximately 8.00am yesterday morning, robbed of cash by two men with what is believed to be a shotgun, then bound and left at the unit.

Police are seeking Samuel Anthony Lowsley, age 25, European, 169cm tall and of medium build, in connection with the incident. The other alleged offender is described as a male Maori aged about 30.

Detective Sergeant Al Lester, of Christchurch CIB, says Police have concerns over Lowsley's behaviour, and as a firearm was involved in the incident, he should not be approached by members of the public.

Anyone with information about the incident or the men is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Mark Reid at Christchurch Police, (03) 3637400. If people have urgent or immediate concerns they should call 111. Alternatively, to give information anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
