Body in the Avon

The body recovered from the Avon River this afternoon is of an older woman, approximately 60 plus years, says Detective Senior Sergeant David Harvey.

"We're looking at causes of death and the post mortem will take place this evening," he says.

Until the cause of death is known he will make no further comments
