1 min read

Lower Hutt Police have arrested and charged a man relating to a recent incident where a jury member sitting in a Wellington High Court trial received a note stating "NOT GUILTY" with a swastika emblem.

Lower Hutt Detective Sergeant Brent Murray says that as a result of police investigations a 40-year-old male was arrested today.

He has been charged with Attempting to Pervert the Course of Justice and is appearing in the Lower Hutt District Court this afternoon. Police are opposing bail.

Police haven't ruled out the possibility that other people may have been involved.

As the matter is now before the court, Police cannot comment further.
