Bank robbery

A young male held up the Westpac Bank, Canterbury Centre, at the corner of High/ Cashel Streets at 1pm to day.

Detective Sergeant Tony Hill says that the young male was wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, with Globe written 4 times on the front of it within a circle, and was carrying a black, back pack.

He is European, with a whispy, fair moustache and a goatee beard.

DS Hill says he passed a threatening note demanding money from the teller. A small amount was passed over and he left into Cashel Street.
