A man killed in a road crash in Putaruru this morning can now be identified as Mathew Richard Tai, aged 33, from Putaruru.
Mr Tai was heading south out of Putaruru when his vehicle appears to have lost controlled and crossed the centreline colliding with a truck at approximately 8am this morning (Tuesday, 16 April).
The crash is still under investigation so it is too early to speculate on the cause of the crash but weather conditions are being considered as a possible factor.
Motorists are urged to be mindful of weather forecasts, allowing plenty of time for journeys and driving to the conditions.
