The search for Emma continues

1 min read

Detective Inspector Tom Fitzgerald says that police are expanding the search for missing Christchurch woman Emma Agnew who has now not been seen or in contact with friends, family or work since about 10.15am last Thursday 15 November.

A helicopter has started searching this afternoon in the Spencer Park / Brooklands area and will be joined by ground SAR teams of police as the search progresses.

DI Fitzgerald would not be drawn as to what had led police to search this area, only to say 'it was all part of the inquiry'.

"We particularly need sightings of Emma and or her red Mazda Familia car registration TH4478 with distinctive Roxy cushions in the back window, in the area of Spencer Park, Brooklands, Lower Styx and Marshlands Road on Thursday 15 November between 10.30am - 11.30am," he asks. "Everyone who lives or works in these areas is asked to think about what they have seen around this time last Thursday."

Tom Fitzgerald says that as the inquiry goes on there could be more searches.

"This is still a missing person inquiry," he says.

Emma's two phones are still missing as is her pink Roxy wallet and her black bag with white vertical zip.

Emma was last seen wearing blue or back jeans, and a black or dark coloured hooded top.

The man and his dog who were sought in Bromley Park has been identified and spoken to as has everyone else identified there to date.
