Police Seek Further Witnesses to Attack on Campervan Couple

1 min read

Dunedin police are still seeking witnesses to the cowardly attack on an elderly couple at the Warrington Domain north of Dunedin.

The attack happened about 1am in the early hours of Saturday 16 May when a group of young people set upon a van the couple were sleeping in.

"We have a number of positive leads but are still seeking eye witnesses to this incident," said Sergeant Sheldon Kindley.

"A number of people were present who thought this behaviour was cowardly. These people weren't part of the small group that committed the attack. We'd like to hear from these people."

People with information can contact Constable Allen Wilson via Dunedin Central police station.
