Aggravated robbery in Petone

Police are investigating an aggravated robbery which took place at a bank in Jackson Street, Petone at around 12pm today.

The male offender is described as being of Maori or Pacific descent, with a stocky build.

He was wearing a light coloured top, dark pants and a black beanie. He had a bag slung over his shoulder.

The man departed the bank and walked east on Jackson Street.  

Police are appealing for any sightings of a  man fitting this description in the Jackson Street vicinity since 12pm today.  Anyone with information should call Lower Hutt Police on 04 560 2600.
