Police in Alexandra have arrested two men for the burglary of the Four Square on Tarbert St.
The store was targeted at about 1.30 this morning (Thursday).
After inquiries were made at the shop, Police executed two search warrants and arrested two men in Alexandra.
“The offenders took a box of beer and have caused a significant amount of disruption for the store owners,” says Detective Sergeant Derek Shaw.
“This was a needless crime which impacts on the entire community,” he says.
The men, aged 18 and 36, have been charged with burglary and bailed to appear in Alexandra District Court next Wednesday (13 June).
