Attribute to Inspector David White
The Police National Dive Squad has recovered a body from the Rangitikei River near Bulls.
While a formal identification process is yet to be carried out it is believed to be the missing 16-year-old swimmer.
The body was recovered from the river at around 3pm near the SH 1 bridge, close to where the swimmer was last seen yesterday.
Police’s thoughts and sympathies are with the boy’s family and we are supporting them at this time.
The matter will be referred to the Coroner.
