At about 7am this morning a man entered the 'On the Spot' dairy on Maxwell Road, Blenheim.
The man loitered around the inside and outside of the shop and may have been seen by other members of the public at the time.
This man was wearing a grey sweat shirt, dark coloured hood covering his face and Adidas track pants.
He was also carrying a Nike back pack.
The offender has threatened the shop keeper, taken the cash register and fled the store on foot.
The shop keeper was not hurt in the robbery, but was understandably shaken.
