Police and LandSAR are looking for Raymond Stirling who was reported missing in Hamilton yesterday afternoon. He is described as being of slim and frail build

Police and Mr Stirling’s family are very concerned for his well-being as he suffers from mild dementia and may have become confused and lost.

After searching yesterday from where Raymond was last seen, Police have not yet been able to locate him.  Several sightings were received by Police yesterday but these have been discounted after inquiries made.

The 84-year-old was last seen in the Halcione Close area at about 7.30 pm on 15 January 2018, but he was noticed missing yesterday 11.00 am

It’s unconfirmed what he was last wearing, but possibly blue track pants and white/red sneakers type shoes. He should have a black walking stick with him.

Police need help to locate him.

Sergeant Vince Ranger says, “We are really concerned that we can’t locate Raymond.   Our search today for him will take part in the suburban areas nearby he was last seen.

Police will be visiting properties in this area and asking residents to check their sections, inside and out, plus external buildings such as sheds and garages.

We will be using Police staff and LandSAR volunteers in our search today, he said.”

If anyone has seen Mr Stirling they are asked to call 111 immediately.
