A 59-year-old man injured in a crash in Taupiri died overnight at Waikato Hospital.
The man was driving on Lake Road at around 5pm on Saturday when the crash happened at the junction with Dawson Road.
A female passenger was injured and was this morning in serious but stable condition in Waikato Hospital.
Two of the three people in the second vehicle were taken to the Emergency Department with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
