The family of Sosiua Helotu Ula have asked Police to request that media stop attempting to contact them.
Mr Ula died in hospital after an incident where he fell from a Mercedes vehicle in Waitangirua, Porirua last week.
The attempts to contact the family are causing additional distress at what is already an extremely traumatic time.
Mr Ula's funeral is being held over the coming days and family would like to request that media do not attend. They also ask that media do not turn up to the family’s home address.
Mr Ula's family respectfully request that media give them the privacy and space they need at this difficult time.
