At about 7.45pm tonight Invercargill Emergency Services were notified of a serious motor vehicle crash on Otatara Road near Currans Road, Invercargill.
Specialist staff including a Serious Crash Investigator have attended the scene and will continue their scene examinations in the morning.
Police confirm three persons were involved with one person deceased, one person has moderate injuries and has been taken to Southland Hospital, and the third person received minor injuries.
No other vehicles were involved.
