1 min read

At about 6.10pm  tonight, Friday 4 August, the Gull petrol station at Whitikahu was robbed by two men, one holding a hammer.

Two men, believed to be Maori were dressed completely in black and were wearing balaclavas over their faces.

They have entered the service station and confronted the three attendants. None of the attendants were injured, but were shaken by the ordeal and have been offered victim support.

The offenders have taken cash, confectionery and nine trays of cigarettes and have left the premises.

Seen in the area at the time, was a late model 1990s silver hatch back, possibly a Mazda Familia.  Police are eager to hear from the public about any sightings of a car fitting this description.

If anyone has any knowledge of the robbery, or the silver vehicle, they can call the Hamilton Police Station (07) 858 6200 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
