Home invasion in Amberley

1 min read

At 3.00am this morning Amberley Police responded to reports of an alleged home invasion.

It appears the victim was held at gun point whilst the address was searched and an amount of property was taken. Initial reports that gun shots were heard are unconfirmed at this stage.

During the incident, the victim has managed to escape from the property and alert neighbours who have then contacted police.

Amberley Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are requesting the public’s help for any information they may have.

Police are looking to hear from anyone in the Amberley area who saw anything suspicious around 3.00am this morning, including any person or vehicle that potentially looked out of place.

Police are aware that there may not have been many people awake at this time so we are asking for anyone with even the smallest bit of information to contact police at the Amberley Police station on (03) 314 8118.

Alternatively, information can also be provided anonymously via the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
