Kelston Suspicious Death

Waitemata Police are in the process of investigating a suspicious death in Kelston overnight.  Ambulance attended the scene at approximately 9:30pm and found a male unresponsive.  Despite their best efforts they were unable to save him and he died at the scene.

An autopsy is scheduled to be held later today.

Henderson CIB staff are at the address carrying out a thorough scene investigation.  Another man who was at the scene at the time is in hospital and will spoken to by Police as appropriate.

"This investigation is still in its very early stages" says Detective Inspector Bruce Scott of Waitemata Police. "We are in the process of gathering evidence at the scene and are very keen to speak with anyone who believes they may have information relating to the case".

The name of the deceased will not be released until further notice.
