Police investigating an attempted robbery in Masterton are appealing for information from the public.

Around 5:10pm on Friday 17 August, Police received a report of a male entering a shop on Colombo Road armed with a weapon.

He demanded cash from staff, and damaged some property.

An alarm was triggered and the male left the scene. No one was injured and nothing was taken.

Detectives investigating the incident are seeking the identity of the person pictured.

Anyone with information on the identity of this male, or any other information which may help Police, is asked to get in touch with Masterton Police Station on (06) 370 0300.
