Media advisory + photo opp: Major road safety announcement 27 November

Media organisations are invited to attend a road safety launch at 10am on 27 November on Piha Beach. The event will take place opposite Piha Surf Life Saving Club at 23 Marine Parade South, Waitakere.

It will be attended by Minister of Police, Michael Woodhouse, and Commissioner of Police, Mike Bush. The Minister and Commissioner will be available for interviews following the launch.

Photo opportunities will also be available with children from Oratia School, Police, NZ Fire Service and St John staff.

The event will usher in several nationwide initiatives to ensure people have safer journeys this summer, and beyond. Police will be joined by representatives from its road safety partners, ACC, NZ Transport Agency and the Ministry of Transport.

Please arrive by 9:45 for a 10am start. The event will be on the beach so bring your jandals!
