The 22 year-old woman who died as a result of injuries received during an alleged attack at a Queen St learning institute yesterday afternoon, was Parmita Rani, orginally from Punjab in India.
Parmita had been studying in New Zealand since part way through 2013 and lived in Manurewa. Police spoke with a member of her family in India this evening after she was formally identified and the post-mortem examination of her body had been completed. She died at the scene of yesterday's alleged attack.
