Police can now release the names of the three people who died following the crash just west of the Kopu Bridge on SH 25 yesterday.
They were 66-year-old Ian James Fielder, 64-year-old Jocelyn Fielder from Turua and 20-year-old Haydn David Clark from Drury.
Police extend our sympathies to their family and friends at this time.
While the Serious Crash Unit investigation is ongoing Police is not in a position to speculate on the circumstances surrounding the crash.
