Ninety Mile Beach water rescue

At 4pm today Police received a report that people were in distress in the water at Ninety Mile Beach.

Emergency services immediately responded and located three people in the water.

Two children were rescued but unfortunately a woman in her early twenties drowned.

Police are in the process of notifying next of kin, our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends.

Police are still clarifying the circumstances around the incident and at this stage no further details are available.
