Police continue to investigate the shooting of a 14-year-old boy on Norrie Street, Hamilton on the night of Thursday 16 June 2016.

The 14-year-old was injured after being shot at a Norrie Street address. The incident was one of three shootings on the same street in the space of a week.

Police have identified a vehicle that is of interest to the investigation.  It is distinctive due to the silver/grey front driver’s side panel (pictured)

If anyone has any information in relation to this vehicle, particularly on 16 June 2016, Police would like to hear from them on 07 858 6200.

Police are also interested in hearing about any sightings of Taupo Mongrel Mob members in Hamilton on 16 June 2016.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Saunders said: “we are treating this as an attempted murder and are pursuing lines of enquiry to identify those involved in this cowardly act.”

“Gangs are often associated with the use of firearms but targeting a 14-year-old in this manner is a new low.  The actions of the offenders can only be described as gutless and we encourage anyone with information to please come forward.”
