Police are investigating three burglaries in rural South Canterbury during the early hours of Sunday morning 18 February.
“At around 3am the Cave store was broken into. Then at 3.40am the Fairlie BP2GO service station was the next target. Following on at about 4.40am the On the Spot Dairy in Geraldine was broken into. Tobacco and cigarettes were stolen in all three burglaries,” says Senior Constable Russell Halkett.
Police believe the three burglaries are linked and that there were four people involved.
The offenders were travelling in a silver single cab flat deck ute that had been stolen from the Hororata area.
Two of the offenders travelled on the flat deck of the ute.
Police would like to hear from anyone that may have seen this vehicle on Saturday night 17 February or during the early hours of Sunday 18 February.
A significant amount of cigarettes and tobacco were stolen and anyone who has been offered these types of products is asked to contact Senior Constable Halkett from the Fairlie Police on 03 6858 400 or any other Police station.
