A 20 year old man is in custody following a serious assault on a 48 year old man in the Auckland suburb of Clendon Park last night. He has been charged with Wounding with Intent to cause Grievous Bodily Harm.
Police and ambulance were called to the scene at around 12:30am on Friday 28 March. The victim was taken from the scene by ambulance to Middlemore Hospital and has since been transferred to Auckland Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Detective Senior Sergeant Ross Ellwood on Manurewa CIB says the two men were known to each other.
“Police will continue their enquiries today to establish what happened at the address.”
