Police appeal made after Te Kuiti aggravated robbery

Waikato Police are investigating the aggravated robbery of the Waitomo Club on King St East, Te Kuiti.

At approximately 11.54pm on Friday 22 September 2017, two offenders wearing hoodies and material over their faces, entered the club, with one offender carrying what is believed to be a rifle. One staff member from the club and one patron were present.

The offenders walked directly behind the bar while pointing the firearm towards the staff member.

One of the offenders has instructed the staff member to open the cash till and then pointed the firearm at her. The patron also had the firearm pointed at his face.

After taking cash from the victims, both offenders left the area on foot.

The two offenders are believed to be aged in their late twenties, early thirties.

Police are requesting assistance from members of the public who may have any information about the incident.
