Police arrest Hutt Valley man in relation to Westpac Petone robbery

On 30 June 2016 just before noon, the Westpac on Jackson Street Petone was robbed and the offender left in a vehicle which was later dumped.

On Friday 22 July after extensive Police work with assistance from the public, Police arrested and charged a 23-year-old Hutt Valley man with this robbery. 

He will appear in the Hutt Valley District Court on Thursday 4th August and is charged with Aggravated Robbery, Unlawfully Takes A Motor Vehicle and Driving While Disqualified in relation to that day. 

Det Senior Sergeant Glenn Barnett, said "We are very pleased with the result and would like to thank the Hutt Valley public for information provided during the course of the investigation."

As this matter is now before the Courts  Police have no further comment.
