Police arrest male following investigation into Ruakaka burglaries

Northland Police have arrested a male following an investigation into a number of recent burglaries in the Ruakaka area.

Following our enquiries, a 40-year-old male from Ruakaka has been charged with eight burglary offences.

He appeared in the Whangarei District Court and is next scheduled to appear on 16th April.

Sergeant Simon Craig from Ruakaka Station says despite the arrest Police are continuing to investigate the burglary incidents in the area.

“We want to hear from anyone who may have information which can assist our investigation into these burglaries.

“We want to reassure the community that we take these cases seriously and any burglary incidents reported to Police will be thoroughly investigated.”
