Police arrest three people for residential Christchurch burglary

Christchurch Police have arrested three people in a quick response to a residential burglary in Russley this afternoon.

Vigilant members of the public observed the offenders actions and immediately reported the information to Police via 111.

Police were informed the three offenders had left the area in a vehicle.

Thanks to this information being relayed quickly, Police were able to locate the vehicle soon after the burglary and as a result three offenders have been arrested.   

Police would like to thank the members of the community who helped them to make these arrests by keeping the offenders in their sight and reporting their movements.

A 17-year-old female and a 19-year-old male will appear in court next week and the third offender will be referred to youth aid.
