Northland Police have located five occupants of a car that was involved in an earlier incident on Tuesday 30 August, in which a firearm was allegedly pointed at another vehicle at Broadwood, north of Kaikohe.

The car fled the scene and was later found abandoned on Te Pua Road. The occupants - four men and a woman - have since been located and arrested. Ammunition has also been recovered.

Three of the five occupants will face charges in relation to the incident.

Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this matter and police cordons at the State Highway One intersection of Te Pua Rd, and at the end of that road on State Highway 12 near Kaikohe, have been stood down.
