Police happy with rugby crowd's behaviour

1 min read

Wellington based Police staff were pleased with the overal behaviour of the crowds who flocked to the cake tin and the CBD last night.

There was a full house at the final and the crowd was in good spirits, with only a few minor alcohol related issues and two minor arrests.

The positive atmosphere shifted to the streets after the match with many happy supporters of both sides out amongst the crowd. A handful of arrests were made for minor offences but overall revellers acted responsibly, requiring minimal intervention from local Police and the additional Royal New Zealand Police College recruits who were exposed to the experience.
